Steven Richard Peck passed away on May 16, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. Born on September 16, 1948, in Long Beach, California, to Arthur Allen and Yvonne (Sumner) Peck, Steven lived a life dedicated to service, family, and passion for his interests.
A devoted fan of the University of Oklahoma, Steven took great pride in cheering for his team and embracing the spirit of OU. He found joy in working with his hands, spending countless hours tinkering in his garage, bringing ideas to life with precision and craftsmanship. An avid marksman, he cherished the skill and discipline that came with the sport, always pushing himself to improve and enjoy the challenge.
Steven honorably served in the United States Army for over 20 years, attaining the rank of Sergeant Major before his retirement. His commitment to his country was unwavering, and his leadership left a lasting impact on those he served with.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Linda Nodine Peck; his children, Shelly Cederwall and her husband Johan, and Kevin Peck; his grandchildren, Ethan Garret Peck, Anders Cristian Cederwall, Annelie Elin Cederwall, and Grayson Peck; his sisters, Jenny Paulseen and Nancy Callahan; and his brothers, Ronald Peck and Mark Peck.
A graveside service to honor Steven’s life and military service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
Steven’s legacy of dedication, love, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
