Sue Ann Cheatwood's Obituary
Sue A (Cox) Cheatwood, 85, of Broken Arrow passed away on September 20th, 2023 in Broken Arrow, Ok. surrounded by her family. She was born on July 9th, 1938, in Birmingham Alabama to Earnest Cox and Annie (Mcdaniel) Cox. Sue was a faithful servant of her Savior Jesus Christ and served at Faith Baptist Church for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Fred to Branson Missouri, Brownsville Texas, and down South to Alabama to visit her sisters and son, Rick. Sue was passionate about watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Alabama, OU, and Tulsa football. She loved singing in church, playing nine-hand golf, doing arts and crafts, and most importantly spending time with her family.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; Earnest Cox and Annie (Mcdaniel) Cox; husband of 60 years Fred Cheatwood; and her son Rick Cheatwood.
Sue is survived by her son Randy Cheatwood and his wife Joy Cheatwood of Broken Arrow; daughters Teri (Cheatwood) Brunson and her husband Bob Brunson of Broken Arrow and Tammy (Cheatwood) Stewart of Broken Arrow. Grandchildren; Lucas Cheatwood and his wife Courtney Cheatwood of Broken Arrow; Chase Cheawtood and his wife Amanda Cheatwood of Coweta; and Sarah Faith Lewis and her husband Nathaniel Lewis of Broken Arrow. Great grandchildren; Noah, Dean, Benny, Lincoln, and one on the way, Jenson.
She is also survived by 4 sisters; Elizabeth Cox of Alabama; Ruby Wayne of Georiga; Tine Plum and her husband Paul Plum of Alabama; Shirley Kay Caldarera and her husband Bobby Caldarera of Alabama; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Sue’s contagious laughter and smile will forever be missed by her family and friends. As she and her beloved husband would sing” I'll have no fear 'cause Jesus walks beside me
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God”.
