Sue Carole McGill Christerson Sue Carole McGill Christerson, age 79 of Broken Arrow, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015. She was born March 7, 1936, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to the late Robert Lee McGill and Ruth Naomi Eubanks McGill.Sue and her family were among the charter members of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was active in Methodist Youth Fellowship. She graduated from Tulsa Central High and earned a B.A. degree from the University of Tulsa. Sue was very active in theater, playing major parts in various plays and productions in high school and college. At TU, she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, as well as Phi Gamma Kappa, KWGS Players and the Wesley Foundation.She married Melbourne Fenton Christerson on June 13, 1958, before starting a career that included teaching at Tulsa Public Schools, the University of Tulsa, and over 20 years at Oklahoma State University – Okmulgee. Sue also provided voice talent for educational teaching tapes.Sue is survived by her husband of 57 years, Melbourne F. Christerson, sons Robert L. Christerson of Maine and Eric and Lori (Bennett) Christerson of New Hampshire, grandchildren Sierra, Ashley and Ethan Christerson, and cousins Donna Real, Wanda Brown, Sharon MacLean, and Fonda Cooper.A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:30AM at Grace United Methodist Church, 519 S. 49th West Ave, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
