Fugitt, Sue's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Sue Fugitt, It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved Sue Carolyn Fugitt, who left this world peacefully on July 13, 2025 at the age of 89. Sue lived a life full of unwavering love. As a military wife she navigated raising two amazing daughters during her husband Bill’s deployments. For 64 years she was married to Colonel Billy Wayne Fugitt. It was through this incredible relationship that she became so much more than just a wife, a mother or grandmother. She was the heart of our family. A true guiding light. Her warmth, wisdom and love touched every life she encountered. Born on May 28, 1936 in Springfield, Missouri, she lived a life marked by grace, strength and a quiet resilience that carried the entire family through life’s many seasons. She taught us how to love deeply and forgive freely. She found great joy in the simplest things like watching Christmas movies, enjoying a beautiful sunset on her favorite beach or having her family gathered around the table. Her laughter was music, her hugs were home to us all. Sue’s faith will live on in the hearts of her entire family. She is survived by daughter Debbie Almohandis, son-in-law Toby Perry, grandchildren Deena Kirkland and (husband) Robert, Rebecca Ricketts and (husband) Rodman, Adam Perry and (wife) Lauren, Sammy Almohandis and (wife) Jordan, Jared Perry, Christine Pickard and (husband) Ryan, Emma Perry, and great grandchildren Maddie, Ollie, Teddy, Evie, Emmitt, Ellie, Lydia, Irene, Loraine, Calvin and Jane who will continue to carry her legacy of kindness, compassion and faith. Though she has left this world, her spirit remains in every act of love we show, every family meal we share and every memory we hold close. We will miss her every day but we take comfort in knowing that heaven has gained one of the most beautiful souls we’ve ever known as she is reunited with the love of her life Bill, her first born daughter Cindy Perry and her savior Jesus Christ. A service to honor and celebrate Sue’s life will be held on July 23rd at Evergreen Baptist Church in Bixby Oklahoma at 11:00am followed by a burial service at Ft. Sill National Cemetery on July 24th at 1:00pm. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
Instead of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Wounded Warriors Project.
