Sue Mitchell's Obituary
Dorothy “Sue” Mitchell went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 6th, 2024.
Sue was born on July 5th, 1945, to Claude Christenson and Helen Christenson in Pawhuska, OK. She grew up in Pawhuska and graduated from Pawhuska High School in 1963.
Sue married her husband, Roy Mitchell, on her 18th birthday, July 5th, 1963. Together, they resided in Tulsa County for 52 wonderful years, sharing a love and dedication that lasted until Roy’s passing on December 6th, 2000, after a 3 year battle with cancer.
Sue was known for her love for the Lord, her family and friends. After her sons were grown, she returned to the workforce, serving as Office Manager and Executive Assistant at Tulsa Engineering and Planning. Upon retiring, Sue dedicated herself to caring for her beloved husband through his illness. In her later years, she enjoyed volunteer work at Clarehouse and spending time with her friends and family.
Sue is survived by her two sons, Lynn and his wife Ginger, along with their daughter Brooke Blake and her husband Harrison, and son Cooper, all of Tulsa; and Kent and his wife Krystal, and his daughter Kayla, of Bixby, OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents Claude and Helen Christenson, her sister Ann Goad of Ralston, OK, and her brother Dale Christenson of Pawhuska, OK.
Sue leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Services will be held Thursday September 12th at 10:00AM at Life Church located at South Tula Campus, 7071 E 121st St S, Bixby Oklahoma 74008.
