Surinder will be remembered as a compassionate and nurturing woman who made everyone feel at home in her presence. She had a deep love for cooking, and her husband, Vasdev Singh Malhi, insisted on only enjoying her home-cooked meals. She believed that food was a way to bring people together, and if you entered her home, you would be offered a meal—whether you were hungry or not.
