Susan Diane Kelley's Obituary
Susan Diane Kelley, a cherished resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was born in Tulsa on November 29, 1951, and she peacefully returned to her Lord on November 3, 2023, at the age of 71.
Susan’s life was a harmonious symphony of love, music, and laughter. Her passion for music was her hallmark, as she delighted in singing and playing the piano. Her beautiful voice graced the moments of weddings and funerals, reverberated through the walls of churches, and resonated wherever she could share her talents. Her melodies touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of listening. Professionally, Susan dedicated over three decades of her life as the office manager at Southpark Christian School, leaving an enduring legacy in the institution and the lives she touched. Among Susan’s most endearing qualities was her infectious smile and laughter, capable of lighting up any room she entered. Her joy was a source of happiness that brought people together and left a lasting impression.
On July 2, 1971, Susan married the love of her life, Larry Kelley. Larry affectionately teased that Susan taught him patience, as she was known for being fashionably late, but her charm made it all the more endearing. Family was paramount in Susan’s life. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her universe, and she found immense joy in their presence.
Beyond her remarkable talents and warm personality, Susan held a deep love for traveling, with cherished memories from her adventures in Branson and Hawaii. These experiences allowed her to explore new places, create beautiful memories, and further enjoy life’s wonders.
Susan Diane Kelley’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of music, love, laughter, and her spirit of adventure will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of being touched by her presence. May she rest in peace, and may her beautiful soul find eternal solace with her Lord.
