Susan Rano's Obituary
Susan Rano, 65 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at a Tulsa hospital. She was born August 11, 1953 in Havana, Cuba, a daughter of Joseph Rano and Delia Amy Borges Rano. Susan was a high school graduate and had received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing.Susan was born in Cuba and loved her Cuban heritage, but she also was so very proud to be a United States Citizen. She was a registered nurse for the Tulsa County Health Department which she was very proud of and she loved each and every child and family she had the honor of serving. She was very dedicated to her job and had the most caring and compassionate heart. Susan was a true animal lover of all kinds and would even take in strays to give them a home. She was an adventurist who loved to live in the moment. She loved to fly in planes, especially private smaller planes as well as adventures in hot air balloons. She loved to do yard work, plant flowers and other things that got her hands dirty. Susan also loved to read books when she had the time and she was a very dedicated Catholic and would spend many hours praying and she loved family.Susan is survived by one sister, Betty Saveth and husband Ken of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one niece, Christina Saveth of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one nephew Michael Saveth of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and extended family, friends and work family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Delia Rano.The family will be holding a memorial mass at a later date.
