Sylvia May Cook's Obituary
Sylvia M. Cook went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2011 she was 70. She was born May 9, 1941 in Sacramento, CA to Lorraine and William Dillon. She lived in Ca, Puerto Rico, Mo, and Sand Springs before settling in Tulsa. She worked as a District Clerk for the U.S. Forest Service in Jackson, CA. She lived on a ranch and raised Paso Fino horses and competed in Paso Fino Horse competitions and later raised champion terrier dogs. Worked as a florist for weddings and later in life worked for Merle Norman, Nut Hut and Cafe Promenade and then retired. She was married to Clarence Cook for 15 years. Sylvia has one son, Christopher McIntosh, daughter-in-law Karla McIntosh and her two grandsons Aaron and Alan McIntosh. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family and her pets. She was a member of Word of Life Fellowship for several years and taught young children and then attended Wisdom Ministries. Survivors include her husband of 15 years Clarence Cook, her son Christopher McIntosh, daughter-in-law, Karla McIntosh and her two grandchildren Aaron and Alan McIntosh. Her sister Rose Swingle and brother Norman Dillion. In lieu of flowers please make a donations to Clarehouse. Memorial Service to be held Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Clarehouse.
