Tammy Lynn Thomason's Obituary
Tammy Thomason was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 3rd, 1960. She was the daughter of Vernice and George McMinn. She had joyful childhood playing outside until the streetlamps came on. She was definitely a daddy’s girl. She would talk about the trips to Arkansas often to visit family and how happy it made her to sit and listen to her family talk for hours. School and home were her daily life until middle school when she met Matthew Thomason. They fell in love and were high school sweethearts. Just after high school, it was time to get married. Two years later came Jennifer, then a few years later Scott and Josh. They were her life. She was the best mother. Her love for her family was unconditional and unwavering. Her favorite things to do were cooking, talking to family, seeing the ocean, road trips, and fishing on the boat. She was proud of her children, Jennifer, Scott, and Joshua. Above all, she had an endearing love for her grandchildren. She especially loved her Rowan. Rowan and Tammy had an unbreakable bond. She lived a full life until the end. She and Matt were almost on their 45th wedding anniversary. She brought light into every place she went. She will be greatly missed by everyone. She loved Jesus and we take comfort in knowing she is now with Him.
Tammy was preceded in passing by her parents, George McMinn and Vernice (Cannon) McMinn; and her brother Timmy McMinn. She is survived by her husband, Matthew Thomason; her son, Josh Thomason and his wife, Christina; her daughter, Jennifer Thomason; her son Scott Thomason; her grandchildren, Rowan and Adaline Thomason; her sister, Freda Gayle Willis and her husband, Richard; her brother, Jimmie McMinn and his wife, Diane; her sister, Shelly Harper and her husband, Jeff, and numerous other family members and friends.
