Teresa Lee Herald's Obituary
Teresa Lee (T.T.) Herald, age 72, of Tulsa, OK, went to be with Jesus on November 3. She was born on September 3, 1948, in Moline, IL, to Lee Coty Jones and Doris Allene (Ryker) Jones. She married her sweet husband, Jim Herald, on January 20, 1967, in Tulsa, OK. They shared over 52 wonderful years together.
T.T., as she was known to all who loved her, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was the center of her large, extended family and was described as a ‘bright light’ by all. She was a friend to everyone she met, a counselor, a cheerleader, and a comedian. She made everyone happy and always brightened everyone’s day. She loved her family fiercely and was a champion worrier, wanting the best for everyone she knew. She knew how to have fun and made lots of memories with Jim, her girls and her grandsons. Her favorite saying was “Today is a Good Day for a Good Day” and she worked to make everyone’s day good!
Teresa is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Dawn Lewis and husband Roger of Argyle, TX; and Shondel Bennett and husband Shane of Broken Arrow, OK; grandsons Max and Cody Lewis, of Argyle, TX; and Anthony Bennett, of Broken Arrow, OK; siblings Judy Eichelberger and husband John, of Verdigris, OK; Tim Jones and wife Nancy, of Tulsa, OK; countless nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Doris Jones.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 8 from 2-5 p.m. at Floral Haven. Services will be held on Monday, November 9 at 10 am at South Community Church in Bixby, OK. Burial/Graveside will be held at 2 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Pryor, OK.
