Terrie Stoops' Obituary
Terrie Lynn Stoops, 67, of Fullerton, CA and Tulsa, OK, passed away on June 1st, 2019 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was the loving wife of Howard L. Stoops. They shared 31 years of marriage together.Born in Maywood, CA, May 31st, 1952 she was the daughter of Lester and Cleota Stuplich. She graduated from Troy High School in Fullerton, CA and after a few years of travel she eventually settled and called Tulsa home in 1981. She worked many years as a consultant, salesperson, and office administrator in both the staffing and finance realms, most recently as the administrator for Tulsa Economic Development Corporation from where she retired in 2015. Her most beloved job was Nana to her 4 granddaughters.She belonged to the BA Bunco Babes group for the past 11 years and always enjoyed organizing and planning events. She enjoyed reading books by her pool, chipping golf balls over the neighbors fences, listening and telling stories about family and friends, dancing, keeping in touch with all her friends through Facebook, her QT cup with Pepsi, traveling with family and friends, driving on road trips, and her famous “Terrie Tours”. She will be remembered for her loving smile, her laughter, her heart to welcome everyone as family, and her zest and love of life. She touched the lives of everyone around her, she never met a stranger and as soon as you met her you became family.She is survived by husband, Howard L. Stoops, children, son Corey Esser and his wife Sheryl, son Steven Fair, son Curtiss Esser, daughter Cheryl Barlow and her husband Nicholas, and son Justin Stoops. Mother Cleota Stuplich. Brother Les Stuplich, sister Cody Sanders, and sister Kim Hammill and husband Mike. Countless nieces and nephews. Grandchildren Kirsten Fair, Brylee Fair, Kade Walker, Lainey Barlow, and Ellie Barlow. Pets Veda, Moses, Morris, and Cujo. She was predeceased by her father Lester Stuplich.The funeral service and reception immediately following will be held June 7th, 2019 at 11am at University United Methodist Church at 2915 E. 5th Street, Tulsa, OK 74104. (TU Campus, 5th & College). Please send flowers directly to the church.To Terrie, a stranger was just a friend she hadn’t met yet.
