Terry Barton's Obituary
Terry Gregg Barton was born on February 6, 1956, in Tulsa to Patsy Corinne Barton and George Barton, that preceded him. He attended the University of Oklahoma, making him a true "Boomer Sooner” fan. Terry was able to attend football games with his son Kenton and grandson Renner, leaving them with lifelong memories.
Terry was a professional Drywaller and built several homes with his brother Tony.
Always working, he still found time to teach Maggie how to install sheetrock panels and level off mud, but of course banana splits after because ice cream was his favorite food.
Though he always was working, he still found time to attend his children's school and sporting events.
Terry lived 4 years longer than expected with his glioblastoma. Seeing his children and grandchildren is what kept him going. Kari recalls how he would light up a room just watching them all.
He is survived by his partner of 8 years Judy Langdon, his children: Kenton and Lindsey Barton, Kari and Trey Newsom, Maggie Laurel Barton and partner Eric Sorenson, grandchildren: Nani Ana, Renner, Archer, Alexandra, Madeliene, Aria, Eden, and Elias. Brother Tony Barton and wife Felecia, and sister Tammy Barton. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and ex-wife, but dear friend Dianne Barton Groden.
Terry’s sense of humor and contagious laugh will forever be remembered by all that he knew.
