Terry Lee Marcum's Obituary
Terry Lee Marcum, 75, resident of Mounds, Oklahoma passed away on September 18, 2022. He was born on May 28, 1947, in Nowata, Oklahoma. Terry served in the United States Air Force from 1965-1969 he was a Crew Chief and Mechanic. In 1970 Terry married the love of his life, Linda Ann (Wood) Marcum. Terry was honorably discharged from the Air Force as a Sergeant and began college, eventually graduating with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science from Tulsa Junior College in 1973. He continued his education graduating from Spartan School of Aeronautics in 1990 with Honors and later went on to be an Instructor at Spartan School of Aeronautics. After graduating he went to work for American Airlines as a Mechanic and retired after 18+ years of service. When he wasn't working Terry enjoyed playing games, especially, Wahoo, Nertz, Golf, and Hand and Foot; traveling, riding his motorcycle with Linda, traveling all over the United States to visit family and friends; woodworking, restoring antique cars/vehicles, upholstery work, and eating spicy food; but he never could find food spicy enough! Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Terry was preceded in passing by his father, Fred Marion Marcum, and his mother, Alice Iverne Melvin (Kitt). He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Ann Marcum; his daughter, Rachel Kingsley, and her husband, Charles; his son, Shawn Marcum, and his wife, Crystal; his daughter, Courtney (Marcum) Stevens, and her husband, Jason; his daughter, Carrie (Marcum) Guinett and her husband, Steven; his daughter, Terri (Marcum) Hotmer and her husband, Frank; his grandchildren, Jacob Kingsley and his wife Aryanna Lawrence, Connor Kingsley, Alexandra Kingsley, Bailey Marcum, Brynnlee Marcum, Bradley Stevens, Paytin Stevens, Patrick Stevens, Greyson Guinett; his brother, Norm Marcum and his wife, Brenda; his sister, Alice (Marcum) Ingram and her husband Ed Ingram (deceased); his sister, Cordi (Marcum) Mansfield and her husband, Phillip; his sister, Marion Pyatte Kline and her husband Steven; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:00 am, Monday, September 26, 2022, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
