Terry Sierakowski's Obituary
Terry Keith Sierakowski, lovingly known by his family as “PopPop,” entered eternal rest on December 6, 2025, in Lindsay, Oklahoma, at the age of 66.
Born on August 22, 1959, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Terry was the cherished son of Walter and Shirley Sierakowski. He graduated high school in 1977, beginning his career in manufacturing while still in his senior year. On March 14, 1981, in Tulsa, he married the love of his life, Debbie (Wood) Sierakowski, beginning a journey together filled with devotion, laughter, and family.
The couple settled in Savanna, Oklahoma, where Terry built a successful career with NOV in McAlester, Oklahoma. After 17 years, they relocated to Houston, Texas, where Terry served as an Internal Consultant before taking on several plant manager roles. His leadership and dedication eventually led him to become General Manager of a large NOV facility in Navasota, Texas. After decades of service, Terry retired in 2015 at the age of 55, leaving behind a legacy of mentorship and vision.
Following retirement, Terry and Debbie returned to Oklahoma to be closer to family. Terry took pleasure in the outdoors, especially fishing trips. Some of his fondest memories were of fishing with his father, his childhood days spent on the Illinois River, and spending summers with his grandparents in Savanna.
His faith was unwavering, rooted in a vivid memory of giving his life to God at the age of eight—a decision that shaped his journey ever after. Known for his wisdom and encouragement, Terry often inspired others with his guiding words. His life was marked by faith, family, and unforgettable sayings that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. If you spent any time with Terry, you likely heard one of his many sayings such as:
• “At the end of the day…”
• “Set the hook twice.”
• “When the sun comes up in the kitchen window and the rooster crows…”
• “If you teach a kid to fish, he’ll never go hungry.”
• “God never makes a mistake.”
• “You don’t know what you don’t know.”
• “It’s either a think or a know.”
Above all, Terry loved his family deeply. He affectionately referred to Jessica as “my only oldest daughter” and Mary as “my only youngest daughter,” and to Debbie as “Woman.” His five grandboys were among his greatest blessings, recently telling Tracy, “The best of me now is simply being an old fashioned, grateful grandpa.”
Terry is preceded in death by his parents Walter Sierakowski, Jr. and Shirley (Martin) Sierakowski; grandparents Walter and Maggie Sierakowski and Myrtle Martin. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Debbie Sierakowski; daughters Jessica Parker and her husband Todd of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and Mary Scott and her husband Matt of Wake Forest, North Carolina. Grandchildren, Deron Parker and wife Madelin, Dalton, and Luke Parker, all of Lindsay, Oklahoma; and Mason and Meade Scott of Wake Forest, North Carolina. Sister, Tracy Sierakowski Jones and late husband Dale Jones; a brother, Dennis Sierakowski, nieces Stacey and Samanthia and their husbands and sons; along with beloved cousins and many friends, old and new.
