Bert just had to say good by one more time. I am missing talking to you but we will be talking again some day. I know you are happy now holding Juanita's hand and talking old times tell her hello for me and I still miss her . I do want you to know every time I fry that good okra you sent me last year we will be thinking of you. Rest in peace Bert and you will be missed very much .Thank's for being my friend . JoAnn
If you’re reading this, you have almost certainly been in a structure that was built by Bert Pollard and his crew. It wouldn’t necessarily have to be in Oklahoma either. I once asked Bert about working on the road. With time being money, I wondered how long of a day they would typically put in. He never missed a beat before saying, "Sunrise to sunset." Yep, that’s what I would have guessed. Bert built America.
He also shot a pretty fair game of 8-ball, and I was privileged to be his partner at The Bounty Lounge on several occasions. We more than held our own. And, you know, Bert like to put a little salt in his draft beer - but don’t tell Juanita, she’ll pitch a fit!
It was an honor, sir. Rest In Peace.

Where could I possibly begin? The Pollards are part of our Dowler Family for sure! The times we have spent together, even if US KIDS did not want to, will always be a wonderful memory. Our families were Family! Bert was just one of those Dads, that took us all in! My brother, Dave will go more into detailed about his work ethics, I'm sure. I know he is so happy now being with his loving wife, and his two sons, but I'm certain he will be looking for Terry as well. Tulsa won't be the same and especially on Darlington! Darlington was the envy of so many of our friends, growing up. We had the BEST Neighborhood to grow up in and with the Best Parents to ensure we were happy, safe and Loved by All! Thank You Bert Pollard for being one of the BEST!
