Thelma Harlan's Obituary
Thelma, Harlan, 93, of Afton, passed away September 30, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born May 5, 1925 in Brown County, Ohio to James and Lola Berry.Thelma was a longtime member of 54 years of Aldersgate UMC and enjoyed working alongside her late husband, Joseph G Harlan, as leaders in the youth department. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and baking, her family loved her cookies and zucchini bread. She enjoyed traveling with her senior friends on bus trips. Thelma loved her family, her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great – grandchildren.Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph G. Harlan; 3 sisters; 1 brother; and 1 great – granddaughter.Thelma is survived by her 3 children, Pat Rupe and husband Larry of Afton, OK, son Jerry Harlan of Afton, Ok, Michael Harlan and wife Merry of Springfield, MO; 9 grandchildren; 27 great – grandchildren; and 9 great – great – grandchildren.
