Thelma Hicks' Obituary
Thelma Owen Hicks 89, of Tulsa OK, passed away Tuesday February 2, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born February 11, 1931 in St. Louis Missouri to Bryan and Grace Owen. She married William (Bill) Hicks on April 5, 1952 and together they had 3 children.
She was a devoted bible teacher and student. She thoroughly enjoyed the Couples class and the worship service at First Baptist Church of Tulsa. She was also a dedicated supporter and volunteer of Ronald McDonald House. She loved to bake and shared her delicious creations with many friends and family.
Because of Bill’s many job transfers they lived in, and had many friends from the following cities:
McLeansboro IL
Sterling CO
Glendive MT
Gaylord MI
Vernal UT
Tulsa OK - 1991 to present
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Bill of 54 years, her sister and brother-in-law Merle and Clifford Winter, her brother-in-law Irvin Bentley, her brother-in-law Mel Charlton and grandson Bryan Hicks. She is survived by five sisters, one sister in law, her three children Gary and Mona Hicks, of Billings Montana, Alan and Sally Hicks of Green Bay Wisconsin and Karen and Kerry Stone of Owasso Oklahoma as well as 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
Donations may be made to the Tulsa Ronald McDonald House in Thelma’s honor.
