Thelma Louise Mozingo~Bridges' Obituary
Thelma Louise Shook-Mozingo-Bridges December 31, 1925 – April 4, 2017Thelma Louise Shook was the daughter of Guy Devert Shook and Lilly Mae Horton Shook, both deceased. She had 2 brothers Guy, Jr. and Marion and 1 sister Kathryn Edna Mae all deceased. She married Joseph Gerald Mozingo on April 5, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1983. She married Jordan Wade Bridges on August 22, 1998. He preced her in death in 2013. She has 4 children with Gerald, Thelma R. Berkley, Geraldine L. Smith, Joe E. Mozingo and Dale D. Mozingo. She has two daughters-in-law, Julie M. Mozingo and Sue Mozingo. She has 9 grandchildren, 40 plus great grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was primarily a homemaker and pastor’s wife while married to Gerald. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church most of her adult life. She also worked in the automated mail industry for many years. She was a much beloved wife and mother. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2007. The disease slowly took it’s tool until she finally quit fighting. She died peacefully at home under the care of her son Joe, her daughter Thelma and her granddaughter Deborah. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 6th, Floral Haven Funeral Home.Graveside Service will be 1:00 PM, Friday, April 7th, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens
