Theodore "Ted" Fry's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Theodore William Fry, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Theodore, known affectionately as Ted, departed this world on July 1, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound legacy. He was 79 years old.
Born on December 13, 1943, in Oakland, California, Ted was the son of Roy and Pauline Fry. From an early age, he exhibited a remarkable zest for life and a natural inclination towards adventure.
Ted was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Diana, with whom he shared a lifetime of treasured memories.
As a father, Ted took immense pride in his children, Kelly and Cindy. He instilled in them the values of hard work, dedication, and passion which they carry with them to this day. He was a pillar of strength and a constant source of guidance and encouragement for his family.
Throughout his life, Ted pursued his passions with unwavering enthusiasm. He had a deep love for life, relishing every moment spent on the golf course and Harley Davidson motorcycle and casting his line during deep-sea fishing expeditions. These activities brought him both solace and a profound sense of fulfillment.
Ted had an abiding affection for his dogs, Roxy and Molly, who were constant companions and a source of unconditional love. Their presence brought him immense joy and comfort throughout the years.
If anyone knew Ted, they would say he was outgoing, funny, and a hard-worker. He was a family man through and through. He leaves behind a great legacy for years to come
Professionally, Ted excelled as a home developer, leaving an enduring impact on the communities he served. His dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to quality were reflected in the homes he built, which stand as a testament to his expertise and craftsmanship.
In his leisure time, Ted delighted in watching old western movies and relishing the nostalgia they brought. He also found solace on the open waters, whether it be on his boat or fishing with loved ones. These moments allowed him to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of the world around him.
Ted is survived by his wife Diana, son Kelly Fry and wife Chrystal, daughter Cindy Fry, granddaughter Kailey Ortiz and husband David, uncle Terry Fry, grandson Brixton Brians, great-granddaughter Josie Ray Ortiz.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6th, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 7th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home – Rose Chapel. Interment to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens – Garden of Devotion
