Tom Wayne Coleman, whose life was a testament to service and community spirit, passed away on December 6, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 91. Born on October 17, 1933, in Tulsa, Tom's journey was marked by his unwavering commitment to his country, his family, and his community.
An Army veteran, Tom served with honor, embodying the values of dedication. After his military service, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the owner of Yum Foods. Through his work, he contributed to the vitality of the local economy and provided a gathering place that became a cornerstone for many in the community.
Tom was not only a dedicated professional but also a passionate individual who embraced life fully. A lover of golf and a sports fan of all kinds, he found joy in both participating in and supporting athletic endeavors. His love for travel reflected his adventurous spirit and enriched the lives of those around him with shared stories and experiences.
Family was at the heart of Tom's life. He is survived by his daughters, Kim Coleman and her husband Dudley, and Connie Hudson; his grandchildren, Joshua Hudson, Bobby Bixler, Michael Bixler, and Kaitlin Bixler; great grandchild Jacob Grodin; along with three nieces and three nephews that he was very close with. He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Zoe Coleman; his parents, Joe Robert Coleman and Cora L. Alexander; grandchild Rachelle Hudson; and son in law Jim Hudson.
Tom's legacy is one of service, love, and community. His impact on the lives he touched will continue to inspire those who knew him. The community mourns the loss of a cherished friend and neighbor whose contributions will not be forgotten.
