Tom was one of a kind, and a very square individual. There was never a doubt which side he would come down on. I first met Tom when a mutual friend gave him my number so he could call and ask me some questions about Garlic. I quickly figured out that I should be asking him questions. He later told me a trick about when to harvest that I have never read or heard anywhere else. It was something he had figured out on his own. It immediatly improved the quality of my harvest. It was nice to be able to drop by and spend the afternoon talking with a like-minded individual, and I really enjoyed the summertime dinners with him and Pam. Vaya con Dios, friend, you will be missed.
