Jamie, Steve, Sheri and Sean,What special memories I have of Tom who functioned as a mentor and father-figure for so many of us in the advertising industry. I will always remember his kindness when my first husband Ron was diagnosed with cancer and how encouraging he was to both of us. In fact, it was Tom who I sought out for a 'man's perspective' to strategize on how to get Ron to go to the doctor. He always offered solid counsel to us 'kids' at the agency. And his faith and witness were always somehow mingled in that advice.Tom knew the ad business inside and out and yet kept perspective in that crazy, stress-filled agency environment. His laugh, his love of life, how he'd call us 'squirrel' when we'd give him trouble, that grin on his face that made you wonder what Tom was up to this time – such a fun, caring soul! Most special was when Tom realized that while he might not have made all the criteria on Jamie's "list" for a potential husband, his charm and wit (plus the VW) won her over in the end. What a beautiful, adventure-filled life they shared. Jamie, you are in my thoughts and prayers. You two were a special couple who brought not only joy to each other but to those of us who watched you from the sidelines. Whether seeing you in the choir or hearing about the many fabulous trips you took together. Those special memories will always be with you Jamie. Here's to Fry Daddy – a special man who made a difference for so many of us. He deeply loved his kids as evidenced by his stories of them, found a special zest for life with Jamie, and was a special friend to so many of us who were fortunate that our paths crossed his. With sympathy for your loss and gratefulness for Tom's faith in eternal life,Mary Ellen Mermoud Bridwell
