Thomas E Messler's Obituary
Thomas E. Messler passed away peacefully August 21, 2009. Tom was born April 14, 1923, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to A.J. and Nova Messler. Tom served his country in World War II with the 8th Air Force in England for 3 ï¾½ years as a 2nd Lieutenant. He attended Oklahoma A&M and graduated with a doctor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Messler was a Honor Roll Member of the AVMA for 54 years. Tom earned three patents for his inventions. He enjoyed rifle shooting, sailing his MC Scow on Keystone Lake, and traveling. He was a member of the Oil Capital Rod and Gun Club, the NRA, the Oklahoma Rifle Association and the American Legion; also a long time member of Windycrest Sailing Club. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius Church or to Saint Francis Hospice.
