Thomas R. Penn's Obituary
THOMAS RODERICK PENN Thomas Roderick Penn was born on July 7, 1926 in Tulsa, OK to Roderick Davenport Penn and Willa Francile Morse Penn Reagan. He died on August 16, 2011 at age 85 in Tulsa, OK. He lived in Tulsa his entire life except for attending college in Tri-State College, Angola, IN and serving in the Navy. At Tri-State College, he earned a degree in Engineering. Tom served our country in the Armed Guard Branch of the Navy during World War II, serving in both the Pacific and European theaters. After his discharge from the service, he met and married Jane Elizabeth Schisler, on September 16th, 1950 in Tulsa. Tom worked for Dresser Engineering as a draftsman for many years, retiring in 1987. Tom is survived by his sons, John Penn and wife, Sharrie of Kinta, OK; Dr. David Penn and wife, Leslie Collum of Murfreesboro, TN; granddaughters, Catherine and Elizabeth Penn of Murfreesboro, TN, Talena Penn of Addison, TX and Sara Penn of Tulsa, OK; great-grandson, Hunter Graham of Waterloo, NE; step-sister, Joan Marti of San Juan, Puerto Rico; step-brother, Howard West of California; brother-in-law, Bob Schisler and a very special friend, Barbara Upton; and a host of nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Jane; parents, Roderick Penn, Willa Reagan; brother, Robert Penn; sister, Jane Penn Pound; step-brother, Gary West; granddaughter, Tisha Penn Graham. Graveside services will be at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, on Saturday, August 20th, 2011 at 2:00 pm.
