Thomas Edward Wimpee's Obituary
Thomas Edward Wimpee met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face on November 27, 2019 after a courageous 6-year battle against pancreatic cancer.Tom was born in Dallas, TX to Edward and Doris Rae Wimpee. Tom attended Baylor University and graduated from East Texas State. He married Ruth Berry of Dallas and they had two sons, Phil and Glenne, whom they raised in Broken Arrow. His career with Pepsi took him from Tulsa to Denver, Canada, and Dallas. After Ruth passed away Tom moved back to Broken Arrow to retire. He married Sharon Combs in 2009. Tom was a Bible scholar and loved by all who heard him teach and was an avid bass fisherman and Sharon supported him in both.Tom is survived by his beloved wife Sharon of the home and his two sons, Dr. Phil Wimpee of Denver and Glenne Wimpee of Broken Arrow and his wife Debra. There are 5 grandchildren: Ryan Wimpee and Emily Wimpee of Denver, Kyler Wimpee of Broken arrow, Addison Wimpee of Dallas and Finley Wimpee of Broken Arrow and two great grandchildren Peyton and Ryder. His stepchildren are Chris Combs of Broken Arrow and his wife Kelly and Sherri Polovich of Broken Arrow and her husband Terry. Step grandchildren are Caden Combs, Karsyn Combs and Matilda Polovich of Broken Arrow. And a sister, Ann Anderson in Garland, TX. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. Burial will be held Friday, December 6 at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.Family visitation will be at Floral Haven 6500 S. 129th E. Ave. in Broken Arrow on Dec. 3 from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be given to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
