Threda Mae Young's Obituary
Theda Mae Young, 85, of Bedford, Texas, formerly of Tulsa, died on December 8, 2004. Threda was born March 15, 1919 in Keo, Arkansas, to Jesse Oscar and Minnie Iola (Wilkerson) Tucker. On September 10, 1938, Threda and Albert Sidney Young were married in Tulsa and spent over 58 years together. She was the Vice President of People’s State Bank, retiring in 1988 after 45 years of service. Although her career was important, family was more important. She and Sidney were both giving, caring people. Threda loved the ocean and walked on the beach as often as she could. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Carthal Tucker, Harold Tucker, Kenneth Tucker, Cathelene Ridenour, J.W. Tucker, Mary Jo Coates; niece, Shirley Jean Harris; nephew, Joe Oscar Tucker. Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 13, 2004 in the Floral Haven Mausoleum Chapel.Survived By: her sister-in-laws, Mary E. Young of Fort Worth, TX, Virgie Tucker of Tulsa, OK, Betty Wilson of Quitman, TX, and Elizabeth Woody of Sutherlin, OR; numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
