Tiffany L. Gunther's Obituary
Tiffany Lyn Gunther, 40, of Owasso, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 17, 2016, following a courageous battle with breast cancer.Tiffany was born on July 31, 1975, in Lawton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Donald “Don” and Landa Harrel. Raised in Southwestern Oklahoma, she attended Fletcher Public Schools, and later graduated from Cameron University in Lawton. She worked tirelessly as an elementary school teacher in Broken Arrow Public Schools for 13 years and continued on to earn her National Board Certification.Tiffany was passionate about her faith and opened the door to many people who did not know Jesus Christ — including the man who would later became her husband. And so on March 10, 2007, she married the love of her life, Bret, at their home church, The Church at BattleCreek, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Together, they hosted and led community groups in their home and coached other couples on biblical financial principles. She also loved day-dreaming with her husband, running with her friends, wood-working with her father, crafting both for and with her kids, and of course… shopping.Tiffany is survived by her loving husband, Bret Charles Joseph Gunther and their three beautiful children, Emery Brette Gunther, Crosby David Gunther, both of Owasso, and Rachel Lynn Gunther, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Tiffany’s parents, Don and Landa Harrel, of Fletcher, Oklahoma; her sister, Donia Ledford, and her husband, Kris, of Talala, Oklahoma; her maternal grandmother, Rosetta Brown, of Fletcher, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Tanya Lynn Katherine Gabrick, and her husband, Don, of Surprise, Arizona as well as numerous other family members, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert A. “Bob” Brown and her paternal grandparents, Kenneth Harrel, and Byrcha (Whitlock) Harrel.A celebration honoring and remembering Tiffany will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, July 21, 2016 at The Church At BattleCreek, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with a private family committal service to follow.
