Timothy James Alvarez's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Timothy James Alvarez
Timothy James Alvarez, age 36, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was sadly taken from us on Wednesday October 25, 2023 following a brutal attack at Joseph Harp Correctional Center, located in Lexington, Oklahoma.
Timothy was born on June 9, 1987, in McAllen, Texas to Jose M. Alvarez & Blanca E. Morin. He graduated from Life Skills Academy in 2007. His hobbies included listening to music, reading & writing. He loved animals and wearing soft, comfortable hoodies. Timothy was funny and smart. We enjoyed his dry sense of humor. Sometimes when in a conversation he would pretend to be writing words in the air with his finger. When he was talking to you and got tired of listening to what you were saying he would act like he had a remote to lower your volume or turn you off as he smiled. He liked to play dumb and ask questions about topics that he had previously researched. He really enjoyed discussing theories and debating.
Our little brother Timothy was loved by everyone. He had such joy in his heart. He was a free spirited and adventurous young man. He had a hard time staying in one place when he got restless. As a child he played and grew up with Anthony and Chris Valdez. They were as close as brothers due to their closeness in age. Some of his favorite items as a child was a big bird stuffed animal that he called “Yaki” and would talk to it as a friend. His favorite movie was The Little Mermaid. He was so cute. He loved singing the songs and playing with an Ariel figure. A lot of us got to live with him at different ages in his life and were able to experience his sweet and tender nature. He was loyal to his family and looked forward to spending time and visiting. He was also funny and had a wonderful sense of humor. There was never a dull moment with him around. He will be greatly missed and remembered forever. We love you Timothy. May you rest in peace.
Timothy is preceded in death by his mother, Blanca E. Morin as well as his brothers, Joe M. Alvarez and James Pritchett. He is survived by his parents, Jose M. Alvarez and Rosa Alvarez, sisters, Victoria V. Mollett, Sonia Alvarez and Ursula Weirich, Mia Alvarez & Laura Keeter, aunts, Juanita Denison, Mary Kouns, Terrie McGinty, Trinidad Caudill, uncles, Joe Alvarez, Jesus Alvarez and many cousins.
