Timothy E Etzkorn's Obituary
Timothy E. Etzkorn was born on April 17, 1951 to Rita Patricia Etzkorn in Woodstock, Illinois. He passed away suddenly May 5, 2009 at the age of 58 at his residence in Tulsa. He attended University of Illinois where he received his Bachelors in Civil Engineering in 1975. Tim made his career as a Petroleum Engineer and was employed by companies such as Texaco, Santa Fe Energy, Vintage Petroleum, and LAMAMCO Drilling. Currently, he was the President of The WaterStone Group which did petroleum engineering and environmental consulting. He married Patricia L. Krumpen on November 4, 1972 in Wonder Lake, Illinois. In 1979, Tulsa became the place where he chose to establish a home for the love of his life, his family. Tim by every definition was a family man, spending his time raising his children, attending their sporting events, helping with science fair projects, setting an example of Godly living and then becoming very involved with each of his grandchildren. Tim was an avid fan of his alma mater the University of Illinois Fighting Illini. Those that survive and hold many cherished memories are his: wife of 36 years – Patricia L. Etzkorn; son – Brendan Etzkorn; daughters – Amber Burke and Megan Cullen. He is also survived by his mother Rita Patricia Etzkorn, Brothers: Patrick Etzkorn, Michael Etzkorn, and Daniel Hartman. Poppy, as he was affectionately called, will be sorely missed by 8 grandchildren. Tim was preceded in death by grandparents, Raymond and Violet Etzkorn, Aunt and Uncle Ed and Rita Waldy and infant daughter, Trina L. Etzkorn. Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. on May 8, 2009 at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Brady Burke Support Trust, for his beloved grandson, at any Arvest Bank location.
