Timothy Charles Hinz's Obituary
Timothy Charles Hinz, of Tulsa Oklahoma, died April 1, 2022. He died unexpectedly, at his home. He was 66 years old. He was surrounded by his wife Pong of 38 years.
Tim was born January 9, 1956 in Fairmont MN to the late Ronnie and Shirley Hinz. He was the first of 5 children 3 brothers and one sister. He grew up on the farm where he enjoyed driving the tractors. He escaped the harder farm work due to hay fever. He also enjoyed spending a lot of time with his late grandparents George and Beaty Booth at there marina in Fairmont MN where he grew up to detest catching Minos and fishing. He graduated in 1975 from Granada High School.
He then joined the Army in 1981 where he trained and specialized in telecommunications for the next 6 years. He spent time in Colorado, Panama as well as Korea where he found his “Special Souvenir” Pong. They were married 1983.
Together they brought in the union 1 son and 3 daughters.
After discharge from the military in 1988 he went to trade school in Jackson MN where he continued his education in telecommunications.
He then moved his family to Tulsa OK. where he made it home to this date. He was employed with Zayo as a Global Network Operations NOC III.
His hobbies entailed carpentry, he especially enjoyed building decks and awnings. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and as well as quality time with his wife.
Timothy was survived by wife Pong, son Matthew (Mandy), daughters Tracy (Adam), Andrea, and Angela. Grandchildren Gabrielle, Jonathon, Nathaniel, Andrew, Tyler and the one he was fortunate to grow closest to Alex. Brothers Rodney (Connie), David, Tom (María) Sister Nicole (Ryan) as well as many nephews and nieces.
