Drea Hickman lit a candle in memory of Timothy Massie
After reminiscing with his wife about these past 5 years without him, I found this site, and thought I should share a bit to honor Tim’s memory. I didn’t know his family, but Tim was a dynamic web guru who left this world way too soon. His friends were shocked by the news when we heard several months late. I hope he’s in the machine now. He embodied new tech and arguably inspired it’s exponential growth. He was brilliant at things most of the world knew nothing about. He deserves some thanks and praise for his work which was top secret. A self taught computer wiz kid who went to my high school, then 20 years later reappeared, in love with my brilliant and beautiful best friend (also from high school). He adored her, she hung on his every word and vice versa. He was her ride or die, often her inspiration in life and taught her to be even better at computers. He was truly her best friend. I regret taking him for granted and not getting to know him better. In our early 40s we all take life for granted. He was solid, her guy, nothing could keep them apart, until it did. So I did not get to see all the amazing things she loved about him before suddenly he was gone. I deeply regret that. She misses him tons and shares from time to time what he meant to her, and I feel her pain, the deep empty loss of her best friend, twin flame, and soul mate. We are best friends, always and forever, but for a few short years, I know she had something special with him, meant to last a lifetime, hers, not just his. I hope he knows how much she admired him and loved him for who he was. He was good to her. She will treasure him always and remain his loyal and loving wife. He would be so proud of her success in business today. Tim you were one of a kind, irreplaceable, so loved and you left before I could tell you Thank You for that love you gave your wife. You are still and for always in her heart. If only you could know it now, your smile would break your face. RIP friend. You were one of the good guys, never to be forgotten.
All my love and gratitude, Drea
Tim was like a father to my daughter. He will be missed more than words can say. He is the most kind person I have ever had the pleasure to know. I will cherish every memory. RIP I love you, PIC!
Tim was loved very much by my family (the Kindrick’s). In fact, we considered him part of our family. We are all broken hearted by his passing, my brothers Michael and Bryan are just devastated to lose their life-long dear friend. Our love, hugs, and prayers go out to Tim’s parents and sweet daughters.
Tim was a very kind and fun guy back in high school. He always treated me with dignity and respect. He was a senior when I was a freshman. I’m very sorry for his family’s loss. He will be missed by us all.

Dear Massie Family: The the unimaginable pain of losing a child, no matter the age, only a mother who has been through it can fully understand what you are feeling. The mixed emotions of sadness and anger. I know it may be difficult to grasp this now, but we are not alone, we have glorious hope! This hope is promised by Almighty God, it is a resurrection! (Acts 24:15). He also promised “the righteous will possess the earth and live forever upon it. (Psalms 37:29). You may contact me when you are ready.
