I met Tom in kindergarten and went to school with him through ninth grade at Skelly. I remember years of baseball games with Tom on our team, Staurovsky, Wofford, Trummel, Dietz, Brumble, etc. I sure remember Bob Brumble, Brian's dad, gave Tom a dip of Skoal, in maybe the 4th grade. I've never seen anyone SO sick as Tom was. He said, "man, I didn't know you weren't supposed to swallow it!" Glasses and big ole buck teeth!! I still laugh at that to this day.Tom was a good friend to about everyone who knew him. One of the nicest guys I've ever known. Haven't seen him in a long time, although I talked to him a couple of years ago. I know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Most everyone gets better the longer they are gone. I'm not sure that Tom isn't one of those who couldn't get a heck of a lot better!!Heaven got a good one!!!Blake Biggs
I met Tom in the 8th grade at Skelly junior high school, I was the new kid at school as we had just moved from across town. He was one of the first people that reached out to introduce themselves and he was also one of the funniest and kindest people I had ever met. We had not been in touch since high school when once again Tom reached out to me on Facebook a couple of years ago and then called me on Thanksgiving. He could not have known this was one of the lowest and loneliest times of my life but it was as if he did know. That phone call and the love of friendship Tom afforded me that day gave me the strength I needed to survive at a time I wasn't sure I wanted to and it meant the world to me. I am so saddened by the loss of Tom and to Carol and all of your family my deepest heartfelt sympathy.

Tom was one of the nicest people I knew in school. Always fun and funny, always kind. I hadn't talked to him since freshman year at OSU and at one of the loneliest times in my life he contacted me on Thanksgiving, 2014. Just to say hello, how are you and tell me about his life and of course ask about mine. That phone call gave me the strength I needed to survive at the time and to this day I think of him often. I am so saddened by his passing, but I am so very glad to call him my friend. My deepest sympathy Carol and to all of the family. God Bless ??
Condolences from one of Pat's BKHS classmates.
I met Tom over 15 years ago when I moved to Tulsa for work. He always had a kind word, never spoke harshly of any, and was LOYAL to his friends and those he cared about. He loved his family, his friends and his LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. Melissa and I are deeply moved and saddened by his passing and offer our heart felt sympathy and prayers to Carol and his entire family. God Bless. Chuck & Melissa Shumate
Pat I am so sorry for your loss and your whole family's loss. I truly enjoyed our conversation almost a year ago at our 40 year reunion. I am sure your brother was a wonderful guy from a wonderful family.
