Tommie Maurine Bailey-Schwarz's Obituary
Tommie Bailey-Schwarz went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 27, 2016.“Nano” treasured what God treasures – people. She delighted in being a blessing! Her greatest joys came from her faith, family and friends. At a young age, she married Robert (Bob) Bailey who served in the Air Force for 22 years. The military life resulted in much travel before finally settling down in Oklahoma. She worked for various governmental agencies and was a wonderful mother to four children: Karen, Richard, Susan and Leonard. After Bob’s passing (August 12, 2003), she met Ronald Schwarz while golfing and they married October 30, 2007. Her children welcomed “Ron Daddy” into the family.Born May 25, 1933 in Meridian, MS to Thomas J. and Zula Powell Cooper, Tommie grew up in Mobile, AL, the fifth of seven children. She was preceded in death by both parents and her siblings: Norma Hess, Francis Eloise Pierce, Vera Dean; and brothers – Nathan, James Edward and Ralph Cooper. She was also preceded in death by her son, Richard W. Bailey.Tommie is survived by her husband, Ron Schwarz of Broken Arrow and three children: Karen Pryor and husband, Steve Hayhurst; Susan Strange and husband, Greg; Leo Bailey and wife, Kelly; and daughter-in-law, Tala Bailey. Her grandchildren include Tonya, David, Chase, Ginger, Tomi Jane, TeeJay, Brittany, Dallas, Tanner, and Paden.
