Tommy Keith Campbell, beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on September 2, 1965, in Beaufort, South Carolina, Tommy lived a life full of adventure, joy, and dedication to his family and passions. He was a long-term resident of Tulsa, living in the area most of his adult life.
Tommy was the cherished son of Larry Hugh Campbell and the late Julane Miller Campbell. He is survived by his loving father, his younger sister Jan Sanford, and is predeceased by his older sister Lari-Lane Payne.
Tommy proudly served his country as a Marine Corps veteran, achieving the rank of E-4 during his four years of active service. He was stationed in California, Philippines, and Japan. Known for his expert marksmanship, mechanic skills, and unwavering discipline, Tommy's military service was a testament to his character and dedication.
An entrepreneur at heart, Tommy successfully owned and operated Ron’s Hamburgers and Chili restaurant in Tulsa for 14 years. He was also a skilled mechanic and construction worker, and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need.
Tommy's true passions lay in his hobbies. An avid collector of Dungeons & Dragons lore, Hot Wheels, and Dwarven Forge, he immersed himself in the world of fantasy and adventure. He loved sharing his collections and stories, complete with his signature sound effects, bringing joy and laughter to all who knew him. He was particularly proud of his 1969 GTO, a car he treasured since he was 16.
Tommy was married to Sheryl (Chambers) Campbell in 1985 for 15 years. He was the proud father of four children: Whitney Renee (Campbell) Landress, Courtney Michelle Campbell, Brittney Nicole Campbell, and Steven Keith Campbell. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Ava Ryann Landress, Kamryn Jade Campbell, Zane Roman Ysbrand, and Vera Elizabeth Heirich.
A memorial service will be held on July 20th at 10:00 am at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, OK. The family requests prayers for his children, father, and friends during this difficult time. They appreciate all those who knew and loved Tommy to join the celebration of his life.
Tommy will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his love for silly t-shirts, his impeccable organization, and his ability to tell a captivating story. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
