From Justin KnightUncle Tommy was very special to me. We shared so much in life our love for music and our love for the Lord Jesus.Many years ago uncle Tommy would take his music band to churches all over the landscape of Oklahoma, and when I was trying to find myself musically and ministerially, uncle Tommy would ask me to come along with him. He would save me a place on the stage with the band and allow me to worship and share.I am now 1500 miles away and unable to get there. My heart aches with aunt Judy, the girls (Becky & Tiffany and their families) and the entire family, as well as the many friends. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you as you celebrate his life in Christ here and his life in Christ just over in the glory land.His gentle spirit is exactly why I thank God for my Hudson roots. He treated me like a son. His smile was bigger than all outdoors.I often remember him saying to me, "Son, the reason why we are here is to bring others to King Jesus". Well uncle tommy, I have been a minister of the gospel now for 27 years. Thank you for investing into my life and the countless scores of others who are bringing honor and glory and the bringing of others to King Jesus.I can only imagine when you closed your eyes on this side of heavens shore then opened them, I wonder what you saw for the first time? What a great cloud of witnesses you must have seen as they all welcomed you HOME!I will see you in a little while. Save me a place on the stage with the band! I will miss you!Justin Knight [email protected] Ps 84….. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God. Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere;

From the day I met Tommy he was always sweet to me. After church he would give me a hug and then tell me "Share that hug baby girl." and I would tease him and tell him that he would have to give me another hug so that I could keep one.I also remember how we could sit and talk about all his guitars. He truly loved the one that had the bald eagle and the American flag on it. Tommy was very enthusiastic about his guitars and of course God.I love Tommy and consider myself blessed to have met such a wonderful man of God.
Tommy was my spiritual parent and he will truly be missed. He taught me the true meaning of being a Christian, and I will forever miss his encouraging words when times are tough. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Tommy was my spiritual parent . He helped me more than words can ever express and I will miss him always. He taught me the true meaning of being a Christian. I will forever miss his encouraging words when times get tough, but I know he is walking the streets of gold, watching over us. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
