Treva Darlene Forrester's Obituary
Treva Darlene Forrester, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 21, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Treva was born on November 22, 1962, in Wichita Kansas to Raymond and Velma Matlock. From an early age, she carried a natural warmth that made others feel welcome, seen, and cared for.
For a short time, Treva worked for a film development company called Moto-Photo. Many of the family brought their film to her for processing because it was nice to know that cherished moments captured on film would be handled by Treva, who shared life with them. After this, she became a devoted homemaker. Treva poured her heart into caring for her family and the many neighborhood children who found comfort, laughter, and safety in her home. Her infectious laugh could brighten any room, and she had a remarkable gift for connecting with people—an art she practiced effortlessly and generously.
Treva’s faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her with strength, compassion, and grace. Family meant everything to her, and among them, her granddaughter Aubrey held a special place as her best friend. Treva was so proud of each of her grandchildren and the amazing young adults they have become.
Treva is survived by her husband, Russell Forrester; her son, Joshua Forrester and Janet Hall; her grandchildren, Aubrey Forrester, Josh Forrester, Jordan Forrester, and Kalie Coker; her great‑grandson, Javonni Harris; and her siblings, Stacey Matlock and Roy Lee (Bo)Matlock. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 30, 2026, also at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Treva’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
