Trung "Troy" Hoai Nguyen's Obituary
Troy Nguyen was born January 31st, 1971. He passed from his life at age 54, on Monday February 17th 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He left a legacy full of joy and love to everyone around him. He especially loved his wife, children, and all of his family and friends with his whole heart.
Troy is survived by his parents, Viet Nguyen and Hong Tran; siblings, Nam and Thuong Nguyen, and Vi and Hai Luong; wife, Oanh Nguyen; his children, Rees and Kaleb Nguyen along with many extended family members and friends that loved him dearly.
Born in Vietnam, Troy would move to the United States with his family at the age of 20. Settling in Oklahoma, Troy would attend Oklahoma State University, receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. A portion of his career was spent at Navy’s Architect in Broken Arrow.
He married his beloved wife Oanh, in 2004, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While working together to open up their family business, ‘Hollywood Nails of Brookside’, they raised two children named Rees and Kaleb. For all of his days, Troy was determined to provide, support, and love his family by any means necessary. His passionate and creative heart was expressed through his interests in music, cars, and sports. He enjoyed spending time with Kaleb through their shared interests in cars and sports; as well with Rees through their shared love of quality time with friends and family.
Troy loved to cook dinner for Oanh, having it ready on the table when she returned home from work, providing him the space to ask about her day. His greatest boasts were always in Oanh, Rees, and Kaleb.
Troy was a devoted and loyal friend, with a lively spirit that could instantly fill a room full of people with laughter. Whether a long time friend, or someone he just met, anyone who entered his home was treated like family.
All who knew Troy loved him, and he will be missed by many. In honor of his legacy, the family asks that you would hold your loved ones close, showing them patience and compassion. We ask that you would also hold the joyful memories you have made with Trung close to your heart, always. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you would donate to Cascia Hall Basketball, or the American Stroke Foundation.
