Twila Maxine Nauss' Obituary
Twila Maxine Nauss, 86, passed away peacefully at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Born on June 29, 1938, Twila was the daughter of Ralph Leo Majors and Wilda Marie Majors.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her beloved husband Richard Lee Nauss, brother, Delbert Ray Majors, and her son, Richard Lee Nauss Jr.
She is survived by her loving sister, Darla Janelle Isaacs. Twila leaves behind a legacy of love through her family. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Nauss; her grandsons, Justin Nauss and Jeremy Nauss, along with Jeremy’s wife Jessica and their son Andrew. She is also survived by her daughter Tamara Carter and Tamara’s husband, James Carter; her granddaughter Amanda Abo-Chedid & great grandson Amaru Abo-Chedid; her granddaughter Hannah Keane, along with husband Shaun Keane & son Wyatt; and grandson Asa Carter; she is also survived by youngest daughter Tonya Nauss.
Twila was deeply admired for her long career in the insurance industry, where she served as an executive assistant. She was known for her exceptional work ethic, unwavering dedication, and her passion for doing her job well. She was respected by colleagues and loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Outside of work, Twila had a wide range of interests and a vibrant personality. She was known for her sarcastic sense of humor, her fierce love of cats—especially her two beloved companions, Mikey and Joey—and her generosity to anyone in need. She delighted in her love for Jesus & her daily Bible readings. One of her favorite things is when her beloved son Richard Lee Nauss Jr (Rick) would stop by her house to visit her & share scripture with her & of course fix anything she asked him to. She loved hosting Christmas Eve parties for all of her family & her favorite was beating everyone at Uno. She enjoyed and cherished her time with friends from her Sunday school class at Asbury Methodist Church.
Twila will be remembered for her warmth, laughter, and the countless good times she shared with her family and friends. She was a light in many lives and will be deeply missed.
Visitation for Twila will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28th, at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29th, at 10 a.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
