Tyree Clifford Brown's Obituary
Tyree Clifford Brown, a resident of Tulsa, passed away May 13, 2020 at the age of 77. He was born July 6, 1942 to Tyree Brown and Cleo Warford in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1960. Tyree served 3 years in the United States Army and reached the rank of PFC (private first class) which he did tours in Germany and Vietnam. He worked as a cross country truck driver, diesel mechanic and concrete layer
and retired from Tulsa Concrete. Tyree enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars. He would watch westerns (John Wayne was his favorite actor), the Three Stooges, Walker Texas Ranger, playing spades, dominoes and listening to the blues. He had a weakness for sweets – loved dr pepper, butterfingers, oreo mcflurries and pineapple upside down cake. Tyree loved spending time with his family and friends and he will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father,Tyree Brown; mother, Cleo (Jackie) Walker; brothers, Robert Brown, Christopher Walker, Albert Jr., Gabriel Brown; sisters, Donna Hannah, Patricia Walker, Gayle Marie, Etta Brown-Jones.
Tyree leaves to cherish is memory his sisters, Judia Green, Diane King (James), Angie Walker, all of Tulsa; sisters, Helen Brown-Nash, Sharon Brown-Dimery, Velma Brown, all of Fresno, CA; brother, Ricky Walker of Tulsa; daughters, Latiste Logan, Henia Moore, Maia Treleaven (Tyrone), Kimberly Stewart, all of Tulsa; daughter, Sharon Chatman of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Marylon Cooper of Okmulgee; son, Tyree Brown (Alice)of Las Vegas,NV; sons, Billy Brown, Johnny Chatman, Jessie Chatman, Melvin Cooper (Joyce), Rodney Brown, all of Tulsa; son, Anthony Blackwell (Cindy) of OKC; host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; extended family and friends.
Private Family Services will be held.
