V O “Buddy” Butcher, 88 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, December 15, 2018 in a Tulsa hospital. He was born December 25, 1929 in Woodward, Oklahoma to his late parents, V O Butcher and Juaneta Pound Butcher. Buddy married the love of his life, Joy Judd Butcher on October 8, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, sharing 69 beautiful years together.Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Joy Butcher of the home; one daughter, Cheri Lamb of Edmond, Oklahoma; one son, Michael Butcher and wife Meredith of Bixby, Oklahoma; one sister, Patsy Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kelly Austin of Edmond, Oklahoma, Erik Lamb of Edmond, Oklahoma and Robert Butcher of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Austin, Alexandra Austin, Ava Gracie Lamb, Reece Lamb and Grayson Lamb; niece Carolee Ann Judd Gunnarsson of Lake Havasu, Arizona; and several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son-in-law, Charles Lamb and one sister, Peggy.Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
