Velma Jane Hallman's Obituary
Velma Jane Hallman passed away November 2, 2012 at the age of 73 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jane was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on September 16, 1939 to Chavel Hill and Velma Raglin Hill. She grew up and shared lively times with her siblings in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She graduated with the class of 1958 from Sand Springs High School. Jane married Bill Hallman on December 5, 1959. They settled in Tulsa where they raised their three children, Tim, Marsha, and Elizabeth. Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years and her parents, Chavel Hill and Velma Raglin Hill. She is survived by her children Timothy Hallman and wife Trisha of Jenks; Marsha Worley and husband Jeff of Jenks; and Elizabeth Newlin and husband Michael of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren Ali, Matthew, Maggie, Sophia and DeeDeeBelle Newlin; Wright and Emma Worley; and Zac and Zoe Hallman, her sister Emma Dee Hill Gamal Eldin of Cairo, Egypt and brother John Hill of Sand Springs. Jane was a kind, loving wife and mother who devoted her time and energy to serving God and her family. Throughout her life she volunteered her time to whoever expressed a need. She helped at the Arthritis Foundation and assisted teaching classes on pain management. She spent many years, and was still, facilitating students enrolled in the World Bible School. Her favorite hobbies included singing, painting, and taking care of her grandchildren. Jane's memorial service will be held at 29th and Yale Church of Christ, Tulsa at 10:00 am on Monday, November 5, 2012. Visitation will be offered at Floral Haven Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2012. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to World Bible School.
