I believe Velma was my maternal grandmother. I sent a couple of Christmas cards but did not hear from her unfortunately. I am saddened to learn of her passing, and sad we were not able to connect. I would love to hear from any of the Werts family descendants.
Aunt Velma was a strong lady. She kept busy even after retirement. She loved to bowl and come to Bartlesville to visit family until her health prevented traveling. We kept in touch by phone. Her mind was really sharp until the last few months of her life. We shared good times and memories of family get together when grandma and grandpa were still alive. We had some really good laughs over some of the funny things that happened and some tears over the sad things. I love you and will miss you Velma. Rest in peace.
