Hi Grandma. I still think about you to this day. I still cry when I think of you. I wish I could’ve had you here while figuring out life. However, I am so thankful to of had you during childhood but I really could use you now. I know you’re always there to listen and comfort me. I count down the days when I get to see you again.. Aunt Velva was truly my favorite aunt also. Our visits were sporadic but they were always memorable. "Sweetheart" was a favorite word of hers but only she said it like it was meant only for you (and convinced you that you were actually sweet). She had to love children to be around all 9 of us and be happy,laughing and hugging any kid that she was close to. Velva took me and my younger siblings to our very first big movie theater. The show was "Mary Poppins" and we all LOVED it. I will always think of her in connection with this movie. She was always a kind, loving, spiritual lady and she will be in all of our hearts forever. I loved her dearly and will miss her.

Grandma whaley you were the best grandma that I ever had because you took care of me when mommy and daddy were not there.
