Vera Ann Serawop-Goldesberry's Obituary
Vera Ann Serawop-Goldesberry, a beloved resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 47. She was born on April 30, 1976, in Roosevelt, Utah, to her late parents, Emerson Serawop and Lucreta Lopez-Washington. Vera was raised in Utah and took great pride in her strong Native American heritage as a member of the Northern Ute Tribe. Vera was a woman of quiet strength, but once you got to know her, her outspoken nature shone brightly. She possessed a nurturing spirit and was a mother to anyone in need, having devoted her younger years to caring for her siblings. Vera had a heart full of compassion and would go to great lengths to assist anyone in need. Her love for animals, especially her dogs, was boundless, leading her family to lovingly tease that she could open an animal sanctuary, a venture she would have cherished. Family was at the center of Vera’s world, and the time she spent with them brought her immeasurable joy.
Vera’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her legacy of love and selflessness will continue to inspire us. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she gave so freely during her time with us.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Sheila Mcnac. She is survived by her devoted husband, Eric Goldesberry; her cherished daughter, Carmelita Hernandez-Lopez; her siblings, Phillip Manning and his wife, Melissa Cohoe-Manning of Salt Lake Utah, Eagle Manning and his companion Martha Mountainlion of Lapoint, Utah, Dominic Manning of St. George, Utah, Kaleb Manning of Ft. Duchesne, Utah, and Mary Serawop. Vera also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends who were touched by her kindness, love, and the warmth of her spirit.
Visitation will be 4-7 pm, Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Floral Haven Funeral Home
