Verda Diane McComas' Obituary
Verda Diane McComas, age 74 passed this life on June 23, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on August 31, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents Arthur Leroy Johnson and Bethel (Dobbs) Boucher. Verda left an impact on all she knew and will forever be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents. Verda is survived by her long time partner Don Coulson; children Trent Steele, and Sarah Wilham and her husband Kevin; grandchildren Grace Steele, Cayden Wilham, Emma Steele, Chip Bruce, Carson Wilham, Jackson Steele, and Channing Wilham; sister Betty Boucher; along with other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Verda was a lover of the Texas Hill Country and the Texas Country music that it spawned. She found peace on a beach, happiness in a good cup of tea, and delighted at the sight of a Cardinal. She loved garlic sauteing in olive oil and the Italian meal, with family and friends, that resulted. She loved Jesus devoutly and her children and grandchildren fiercely. She exuded grace and calm and was a rock for those who loved her.
A memorial service will be held to honor Verda’s life on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Pastor James Lacey will be officiating.
