Dear Jo, Renee and Doug, I am sorry I can't be there today, but you all are in my thoughts. Verl was a fantastic husband and father, and he will be greatly missed. Some of my best memories of are of the times when our families visited each other when I was growing up. I am sure he and dad are together in heaven now, laughing and talking like they used to, and looking forward to the day we can be with them again. Love, Montra

I was saddend to hear about Verl's passing. I will always remember his laugh and his soft southern drawl; he was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. Verl was our long-time friend and mentor; generous, open, and honest, we rarely saw him without his ready laugh. We'll miss his stories, advice, and bright smile. Doug, I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. Words can never describe the emotions that we feel over the lost of a love one. I never met your father but through knowing you I can say he must have been a great man as I see those qualities in you and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. When I lost my mother I was comforted by Jesus words at J0hn 5:27&28 All those in the memorial tomb will hear my voice and come out. The root word for memorial is memory. Which means we are in Gods memory and I believe based on my study of the bible that because we were created in Gods image (Gen 1:27) that we weren't meant to die and one day can look forward to seeing our dead love ones and living forever in Paradise.
