Verlin Thomas Hendrix's Obituary
Verlin Thomas Hendrix, 84 of Tulsa Oklahoma, passed away Saturday December 16 at his home in Tulsa Oklahoma. He was born November 12 1933 in Cookson Oklahoma to Major and Iva Hendrix.Verlin grew up in Tulsa Oklahoma. He attended Will Rogers High School and began working at Continental Roller Rink after school and on the weekends. After high school Verlin began working for Page Milk where he obtained his Stationary Building Engineer license. Upon the closing of Page Milk Verlin found employment with the City of Tulsa as a building engineer where he worked until he retired. While working for the city of Tulsa he bought and was the proud owner of StarLite Roller Rink in Sapulpa Oklahoma. His hobbies were wood working, RV camping, music, and going to church at Cherokee Jamboree at Eastland Mall. He was a member of the Broken Arrow Sams RV Club.Verlin is survived by his wife Barbara Hendrix of the home. Two sons Terry and Mike Hendrix. A daughter Sherry Brooks and husband Leonard Brooks. 7 grandkids, Christy, Thomas, Daniel, Chris, Leonard, Tiffany, and Tommy. 25 great grandkids, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.Verlin is proceeded in death by his parents, Major and Iva Hendrix, Two brothers, Louie and Harrell Hendrix, and grandson John Hendrix.
