Vern William Makinson's Obituary
Vern William Makinson, 80, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on January 9, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 1, 1940, in Los Angeles, California to Thelma and Vernon Makinson.
Vern was preceded in death by his brother Dean Makinson, Brother Frank Makinson, Twin Brother Ernie Makinson, sister Nancy Brown, his mother Thelma Makinson, his father Vernon Makinson, and his stepmother Myrtle Makinson. Vern is survived by his wife Leola “Lee” Makinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; siblings Wayne Makinson of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Arnold Makinson of Okmulgee Oklahoma, Janet Kelough of Yukon, Oklahoma, Ann Wiggins of Owasso, Oklahoma, Mary Jane Reynolds of Morris, Oklahoma; daughters Jodi Makinson, and Dana Makinson; and several nieces, nephews, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Visitation will be held at FLoral Haven FUneral Home on Tuesday, January 19, 2020, starting at 4 PM and going until 6 PM. A graveside service will be held in honor of Vern on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at 10 AM, in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Saint Paul.
