Vernon Leroy Blan's Obituary
Vernon Leroy Blan, age 81, of Broken Arrow, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at home. Born on May 31, 1936, in Keota, OK, to William and Martha Blan, he lived most of his life in Sapulpa, OK and Tulsa, OK. Leroy is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Janet Pryor Blan of the home, from Porum, OK; sister Lois Kinsey of Keota, OK; brother Bill Blan and wife Lavonna of Claremore, OK; son David and wife Paula of Drexel, MO; son Darryl and wife Nancy, of Manasses, VA; daughter Dana Schubert and husband Todd of Naperville, IL; daughter Denise Mobley and husband Dwain of Tulsa, OK; fourteen grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, with one on the way. Leroy was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He loved Jesus and passed that love on to his family, one of the greatest gifts a father can give. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, piddling around in the barn and building things. Leroy’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at 11:00 A.M., at Woodland Acres Baptist Church, 5511 S. Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Youth, Music or Mission fund of Woodland Acres Baptist Church.
